From the minute you enter, you may notice the attention to detail from the Mother / Daughter team of Cat Traxler, Owner, and Jessica Fultz, Co-owner and Executive Chef. Cat has owned and managed Lubbock restaurants for generations while Chef Jessica was trained in San Francisco, CA and Santa Fe, NM before returning to Austin, TX as an Executive Chef and later joining Cat in the culmination of their shared vision of a lifetime, Cocina de La Sirena.

"Tucked into a corner in charming Cactus Alley, La Sirena is lovingly run by a mother and daughter. They serve traditional Latin dishes, like empanadas and ceviche, but with modern twists: the mole is served with duck, the bass over charred brussels sprouts. The stars of our night were the seared scallops with a vanilla-­tequila sauce and the coconut rum cake topped with a decadent lime curd. As the name of the restaurant suggests, you’ll have a hard time resisting."
